INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The state will conduct 11 free workshops on foreclosure to give advice to homeowners looking to understand their rights and options for avoiding losing their homes.
South Bend’s workshop: 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, at WorkOne, 851 S. Marietta St.
The attorney general’s office has partnered with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development and its WorkOne Centers and the Indiana Foreclosure Prevention Network to offer the workshops. Most will be held at WorkOne facilities around the state.
The workshops offer an introductory overview of the options and rights homeowners have to avoid foreclosure, including when and how to request a settlement conference.
More information on the workshops can be found on the Web site www.in.gov/attorneygeneral
