JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Nissan Motor Co. is planning to recall 48,700 trucks and SUVs for problems with a suspension part that could lead to a rough ride.

Spokesman Colin Price says the company is working on details with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and expects the recall to begin this week.

It will cover some, but not all, 2010 Nissan Armadas, Frontiers, Titans, Pathfinders and Xterras and Infiniti QX56 models.

The Armada, Titan and Infiniti QX56 are produced at the company’s Canton plant. The Frontier, Pathfinder and Xterra are produced at its Smyrna, Tenn., plant.

The problem centers on a lower suspension control link, which may not have been welded properly. It could cause the bushing collar to crack, leading to a rough and noisy ride. N

MISHAWAKA — Reusable bags are gaining popularity, and area stores say they’re seeing more people opting for them instead of plastic.

Some keep your food cold, some keep your food hot. Some are used to benefit charities, but they all benefit Earth.

“It’s just so much easier to put them all together and hang them up and pull them out of the car when I need them,” says reusable bag user Vicki Divane.

More stores like Martin’s and Target have started selling the reusable bags and offer discounts to those who use them.

“We see a huge difference,” says Andrea Smith, who works at the Super Target in Mishawaka. “

Its official: Facebook is the world’s third largest country.  Recently, Facebook announced that it has reached the 500 million registered user mark. 500 MILLION! In the world of membership organizations that’s a knee rattling, earth shaking, just staggering amount of people.
