Ken and Mary filed bankruptcy with me three and a half years ago. They had built back to a credit score in the high six hundreds.
Until last week. Last week, Bank of America updated their credit report, replacing bankruptcy in 2008 with foreclosure, January 2012. Ken first noticed this on Experian, but when I had him check, it also showed up on Trans Union and Equifax. That wrecked their good credit.
Were working with Ken right now to send letters to each of the three credit bureaus (with copies to Bank of America) asking them to fix it.
If asking nicely doesnt work, well sue. (U

The world is filled with all sorts of clever entrepreneurs that have managed to make their money through the implementation of a wise business strategy or maybe just thanks to a really good product or service. The incentive of course for the people to create that good business strategy and that quality product or service is so that they can provide themselves with a source of income that is sure to be successful and is reasonably predictable. Not every entrepreneur though is of the same noble intentions and some have indeed resorted to using less than honest tactics to make themselves a quick buck.

That company (through Bank of America, its successor in interest) settled in 2009 with states charges that it had engaged in consumer fraud in its mortgage lending.
