Are you worried about the security of your credit card? This is something that concerns most people who carry plastic. If you are one of them, good for you. It goes without saying that credit card security is a very big deal. The last thing you want is trouble in this area.

Here are three credit card security tips to live by:

1. Do not use your card online unless you are 100 percent sure that the seller is reliable and trustworthy. There is a big difference between making a purchase on Amazon.com and emailing your credit card information to a seller that claims they are legit. Use common sense when making online purchases.

2. Do not let your credit card out of your sight for too long. When you hand it to a waiter at a restaurant, make sure you get it back right away. The same holds true for making purchases at land based stores. While you can only do so much in this area, you might as well protect your card as best as you can. If somebody thinks you are watching there is much less of a chance that they will try to steal your credit card information.

3. If you lose it, report it. The second that you realize your credit card is missing you need to think about reporting it as such. The longer you wait the more chance there is that the wrong person is fraudulently using your card.

These three tips should help keep your credit card safe at all times. All in all, you never want to overlook the importance of credit card security.
