Do you have debt on more than one credit card? If so, and you are truly interested in making progress, you need to think about where to start. Although it can be confusing, if you know where to spend your money you will find yourself making progress in no time at all.
Most people take a close look at all their credit cards and determine where to start based on how much the balance is on each one. That being said, there are two distinct ways of thinking. You can pay off the card with the lowest balance first in order to gain confidence and clear some space. Or, you can decide to tackle the one with the highest balance as to get rid of the biggest problem first.
While the above method can work just fine, you may want to try this: write down the interest rate that is attached to each card, and then go from there. Remember, you want to keep the amount that you pay in finance charges to a minimum. So, if one card has a rate of 20 percent and another only 10, where are you going to start? If you are smart, you will tackle the highest rate first.
It goes without saying that everybody is in a unique situation when it comes to their finances. If you have more than one credit card with a balance you need to make a decision on which one to pay off first. Where you start will have an effect on when you finish and how much money you spend along the way.
