SEATTLE (AP) — The iPhone 4 has arrived, but for some people the wait continues as Apple sprints to keep up with fierce demand for its latest gadget.
From Tokyo to San Francisco, some stores started selling out of Apple Inc.’s newest iPhone just hours after it went on sale Thursday. Some would-be buyers walked away disappointed; tensions grew at Apple stores that hadn’t run out.
In Aventura, Fla., Loren and Veronica McHenry held out hope, even after miscommunications landed them at the back of the line. They were told Wednesday that no one was allowed on mall property overnight, but returned the next day to learn 120 people had camped out at a nearby parking lot.

NEW YORK (AP) — Barnes & Noble is offering a lower-price Nook electronic reader with a Wi-Fi connection and it’s cutting the price on the original Nook reader.
The Nook Wi-Fi is available now for $149 online at nook.com and bestbuy.com.
The bookseller is lowering the price for its original Nook, which has both 3G and Wi-Fi ability, from $259 to $199.
That undercuts the $259 Kindle from Amazon.com, the Nook’s top competitor.
The Nook Wi-Fi will ship this week for online orders and will be available at some Barnes & Noble and Best Buy stores later this month. It will be in all stores later this summer.

The rising cost of getting married is leaving many newlyweds in huge amounts of debt, it has been revealed.
A survey by wedding expert Anne Mihelakos of truebride.com.au found that the average cost of an Australian wedding now stands at $28,000, the Advertiser reported.
The most expensive wedding last year stood at $130,000 while the cheapest was $3,000, the poll also discovered.
Ms Mihelakos noted that the average Australian wedding goes about 15 per cent over budget.

Almost half of credit card customers and 86 per cent of loan customers have not reviewed their balance or monthly payments in the last 12 months.
Research from Capital One has found that, despite nearly 90 per cent of UK adults claiming to be confident about the way they manage their personal finances, many are not taking simple steps to stay in control of their credit card and loan debts.
The study also discovered that more than half of consumers have not checked their credit rating, even though free credit reports are readily available online, and 21 per cent are unaware that missing a payment on a credit card, loan, or other borrowings, can damage their credit score.
