Do you get the feeling that your credit card balance is entirely too big? Most people who believe this find out soon enough that it is true. If you are trying to decide where you stand, the following tips should be able to help.

1. Your credit card balance is too big if you cannot afford to pay in full. This is not always the case, but in a perfect world you will be able to pay your entire balance each month. This way you never incur finance charges. If you cannot do this there is a very good chance that your balance is too big for you to comfortably handle.

2. Your credit card balance is too big if you are paying a lot in interest. Follow this rule of thumb: any money towards interest is too much.
