Fox, ABC, NBC and CBS blocked access to their programming online this month in separate fee disputes to enforce their demands to be paid. Broadcasters think they can make more money from cable TV providers if they hold back some programming online.

That could mean new limits on online viewing are coming. Broadcasters might make fewer of their shows available to begin with. They could also delay when they become available, perhaps a month after an episode is broadcast, rather than the few hours it typically takes now.

If you don’t already accept credit cards for business you do online, you’re in a small minority, and it’s time to change! While it’s true that not all online business involves credit cards, the vast majority of consumers are no longer willing to incur the trouble and expense of sending checks and money orders.
